Der du von dem Himmel bist, S.279 is a song for voice and piano composed by Franz Liszt with lyrics by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. It was composed in the year 1842 (S. 279/1) and later revised three times, in 1849 (S.279/2), 1860 (S.279/3) and 1870. (S.279/4). Liszt also arranged the piece for piano solo in 1843 as no. 5 of his Buch der Lieder (S. 531/5). The four vocal versions were published in 1843, 1856, 1860, and 1921 respectively.
